Frankenstein recliner

Blogbeitrag

Half a recliner arrived — the other half got lost in transit.
Another one showed up slashed — someone went a bit too Zorro with the box cutter.
Two write-offs. Two items destined for landfill. Case closed, right?

Not in our warehouse.

Our team looked at both, looked at each other, and said: “Hold my screwdriver.”
The result? A fully functional, surprisingly elegant Frankenstein recliner. Two cup holders. Full recline. Zero waste.
Is it pretty? I’ll let you judge. 👇

Is it sitting in a landfill? Absolutely not.
This is what recommerce actually looks like. Not the polished version. Not the keynote version. The real, hands-dirty, problem-solving version.

Every day at ARLL/ ASAP we take what others write off — and we find a way. Because the most sustainable product is the one that doesn’t get thrown away.

Two rejects walked into a warehouse. One recliner walked out.
Should I add the retail value was 499.99 euro and we have resold it for 299.99 the retailer recovered 149.99 instead of zero??

What’s the most creative recovery you’ve seen in reverse logistics?
